PIAC and Palatine Jaycees Hold Art Fair on September 8th and 9th

PIAC and the Palatine Jaycees present their 8th annual juried art fair, "An Art Affair Around the Square," on September 8th and 9th at Towne Square in Downtown Palatine

The Palatine/Inverness Arts Council (PIAC) and the Palatine Jaycees will present their 8th annual juried art fair, “An Art Affair Around the Square,” on September 8th and 9th from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM in Towne Square in Downtown Palatine at the corners of Smith Street and Palatine Road.

Artists from all specialties, including water color, acrylic, oil, pottery, fine jewelry, stained glass and pastels will be represented.  “We are excited by the diversity of artists that have returned to the show this year and are impressed with the new talent participating in the show,” said Show Chair, Chrissy Trilling-Raices.  “This is a quality, juried art show presented as a celebration of all forms of art, from the traditional to the contemporary.”

Besides a wide range of art forms, the weekend show includes children’s art activities and live entertainment by local musicians.  Musical artists Mary Lai, Just Duet, Gloria Burchfield, Guyz with Bad Eyez and Merv Collins will be performing from the gazebo throughout the show.  On Sunday, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Dobby’s Worldwide Liquors will be providing a wine tasting as part of the event.
