The Palatine Jaycees are seeking individuals who would like to participate in a fall community-wide garage sale to be held on Saturday, September 24th.

The Palatine Jaycees are seeking individuals who would like to participate in a fall community-wide garage sale to be held on Saturday, Sept. 24 from 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Gateway Center Parking Garage at the corner of Smith Street and Colfax Road in Palatine.

“Applications for display spaces are now available,” said Dan Reinholtz, Co-Chair of the sale.  “Applications are available via fax, mail or email. You can contact us by phone at 847-604-0288, on the web at www.palatinejaycees.org, email at info@palatinejaycees.org or send in a request to Palatine Jaycees, P. O. Box 1517, Palatine, IL 60078-1517.”

There will be sale space available on a first come first served basis. Booths are priced at $25 for garage sale or flea market vendors, craft sellers, antique dealers and for sellers of other non-garage sale items. The Jaycees will be selling refreshments and merchandise donated by community residents at their booth.

Individuals wishing to donate items can drop them off at the Jaycee booth on the day of the sale. Proceeds from the entry fees, the Jaycee booth and refreshments will be used to benefit the community according to Jaclyn Stanger, Co-Chair of the sale.

Every year, the Palatine Jaycees conduct numerous programs to serve the community and accumulate funds to donate back into the community through their Major Community Donations program. Included in these projects is the Fourth of July Festival, Christmas tree sales, the annual Garage Sale and other projects that benefit the community and help raise funds.

The Palatine Chapter of the Jaycees, one of the nearly 100 local chapters throughout Illinois, has over 100 members and is one of the largest chapters in Illinois. The Jaycees provide individuals between the age of 21 and 40 the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills while serving their community.
