The Legion Family will be holding fish fries throughout Lent.  Fish fries will be held on February 22nd, March 1st, March 8th, March 15th, March 22nd and on Good Friday March 29th.  On Good Friday, the Legion will expand their menu and serve, in addition to fried fish, baked fish tacos.

“We will be serving fried Pollack dinners for $9.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under eight years old,” said Todd Pearson, Legion Commander.  “The dinner includes fish, soup, tater tots, mac n’ cheese, coleslaw, bread and dessert.  The dinner will be held downstairs in the Legion’s family-friendly clubroom.  A full service bar is available for drinks.”

“We are always looking for new members for the American Legion family,” said Pearson.  “If you are interested in supporting those individuals who have defended our country then the American Legion, Legion Auxiliary or the Sons of the American Legion is the organization for you.  If you have any questions on the American Legion family or any of our activities call us at 847-359-1606.”

The American Legion and Legion Auxiliary began in 1919 while the S.A.L. was created in 1932 as patriotic veterans organizations devoted to mutual helpfulness.  These organizations are committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
