Legion Holds Fish Fry Dinner

American Legion Auxiliary Post 690 holds fish fry on Friday, June 1st.

The Palatine American Legion Auxiliary Post 690 is holding a fish fry on Friday, June 1st which is open to the public from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the American Legion Hall 122 West Palatine Road in Palatine to raise funds for Legion Family Charities.

“We will be serving fried Cod dinners for $9.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under eight years old,” said Judy Kyska, Auxiliary President.  “The dinner includes fish, soup, tater tots, mac n’ cheese, coleslaw, rye bread and dessert.  The dinner will be held downstairs in the Legion’s family-friendly clubroom.  A full service bar is available for drinks.”

“We are always looking for new members for the American Legion Auxiliary,” said Kyska.  “If you are interested in supporting those individuals who have defended our country then the Auxiliary is the organization for you.  If you have any questions on the American Legion Auxiliary or any of our activities call us at 847-359-1606.”

Founded in 1919, The American Legion Auxiliary has almost one million members in nearly 10,500 units. The Auxiliary administers volunteer programs for veterans as well as within the community and is the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization.  Through units located in every state and some foreign countries, the Auxiliary raises money to support its own programs as well as other worthwhile charities.
