Legion Auxiliary holds bingo and bake sale
American Legion Auxiliary holds bingo and bake sale on Sunday, April 14th.
The Palatine American Legion Auxiliary Post 690 is hosting bingo and holding a bake sale on Sunday, April 14th which is open to the public from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the American Legion Hall 122 West Palatine Road in Palatine to raise funds for Legion Family Charities.
“We will be playing bingo from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM with an early bird game at 12:45 PM,” said Judy Kyska, Auxiliary President. “The doors will open at Noon. There will be game booklets and special cards with cash prizes for each game. Come on out and see if you can cash in as well as support our charities.”
During bingo the auxiliary will have hot dogs, chips and coffee available. “If someone has a sweet tooth, we will also be holding a bake sale during bingo,” said Kyska. “You will be able to sample some of our delicious baked goods while you are playing bingo or you can bring something home for the family.”

“We are always looking for new members for the American Legion Auxiliary,” said Kyska. “If you are interested in supporting those individuals who have defended our country then the Auxiliary is the organization for you. Founded in 1919, The American Legion Auxiliary has almost one million members in nearly 10,500 units. The Auxiliary administers volunteer programs for veterans as well as within the community and is the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization. Through units located in every state and some foreign countries, the Auxiliary raises money to support its own programs as well as other worthwhile charities.

The Palatine Auxiliary holds their monthly general meeting on the second Thursday of the month except in July and August at 7:30 PM at the American Legion Hall on Palatine Road in Palatine.
