Jaycees Hold Garage Sale At Gateway Center Garage
The Annual Palatine Jaycee Community-Wide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, August 18th at the Gateway Center Garage.
The Annual Palatine Jaycee Community-Wide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, August 18th from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM on the first floor of the Gateway Center Garage located next to the Palatine Train Station at the corners of Smith and Colfax Streets.
“The response to the garage sale has been just as positive as in past years,” said Amy Bricco, Project Co-Chairperson. “We have people requesting spots to sell their own belongings and also from several local businesses selling their merchandise or promoting their business. Between the number of booths rented and the myriad of items that will be available, I’m sure this is going to be a very successful sale.”

The Jaycees will be selling refreshments, $10.00 50/50 raffle tickets and merchandise donated by community residents at their booth. Individuals wishing to donate items can drop them off at the Jaycee booth on the day of the sale. Proceeds from the entry fees, the Jaycee booth and refreshments will be used to benefit the community.
Every year, the Palatine Jaycees conduct numerous programs to serve the community and accumulate funds to donate back into the community through their Major Community Donations program. Included in these projects is the Fourth of July Festival, Christmas tree sales, the Best Pizza in Palatine, and other projects that benefit the community and help raise funds.

The Palatine Chapter of the Jaycees, one of the nearly 100 local chapters throughout Illinois, has over 80 members and is one of the largest chapters in Illinois. The Jaycees provide individuals between the age of 21 and 40 the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills while serving their community.
The Palatine Chapter holds their monthly general meeting on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 PM at the American Legion Hall on Palatine Road in Palatine.
