Introduction to Around Town

Hi everyone!  I'm a new blogger for Palatine Patch. This blog will be about the happenings in Palatine and surrounding communities. Since I am involved in so many community organizations, I'm one of the first to know the details of upcoming events and I'll be sure to share the info with you on this blog.

We live in such a great community with so much going on especially now during the summer.  The Memorial Day parade and festivities are right around the corner. The Palatine Jaycee Hometown Fest is in the final stages of planning so I'll be able to announce the schedule and bands soon.

Once fall rolls around there are some other great events. You won't want to miss Rotary's Oktoberfest. For art lovers, the Palatine/Inverness Arts Council's Art Affair Around the Square is coming in September.
