Palatine Chamber Outdoor Movie Night on Sunday, August 18

"The Sandlot" will be shown at dusk on the side of the BMO Harris Bank building in downtown Palatine this coming Sunday.

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce is once again presenting the Outdoor Movie Night for families to come out and enjoy.

The movie, “The Sandlot” will be shown on the side of the BMO Harris Bank building, 50 N. Brockway Street beginning at dusk this coming Sunday.

The fun will begin at 7 p.m. and include children’s art projects, games and a variety of family activities. The event is free to the public and seating is available on Station Street, just east of the bank building. Residents are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

“We are excited to once again offer a beer garden and pizzas from Lamplighter Inn during the event this year,” said Liz Noe, event chair. “This is the 5th annual outdoor movie night presented by the chamber and each year it continues to grow in popularity.”

A portion of the funds raised will benefit the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce scholarship programs. Lead sponsors include BMO Harris Bank and Weber-Stephen Products, LLC, other sponsors include Allied A/C & Heating, Northrop Grumman, Lamplighter Inn Tavern & Grille, and Palatine Bank & Trust.
