Pony rides, pumpkin carving, crafts and a petting zoo are among the many activities planned for the event.

Families with children of all ages are welcome to take part in the 14th annual Fall Festival at Palatine Stables, 1510 W. Northwest Highway, Saturday, Oct. 1.

The event will include a petting zoo, wagon rides drawn by a team of horses and pony rides.

“It’s really a fun-filled event for the whole community; you don’t have to be an equine enthusiast to have a great time close to home here in Palatine,” said Toni Bruns, trainer and barn manger of the Palatine Stables.
