Palatine Resident Wins 3 Gold Medals at Special Olympics Event

Anthony Donatelli participated in the "2013 Powerlifting Qualifier A" Sunday at Maine East High School. The triumph qualifies Donatelli to compete in the state games on June 14 in Bloomington-Normal.

Congratulations to 23-year-old Palatine resident Anthony Donatelli, who took home gold at the 2013 Powerlifting Qualifier A Special Olympics event held on Sunday at Maine East High School. 

Donatelli was a member of the NWSRA team, and won three gold medals in the area powerlifting event, which qualified him to compete in the state games to be held on June 14, 2013 in Bloomington-Normal. 

Divisions included lightweight, heavyweight and middleweights.

Local teams from NWSRA, NISRA, Palatine High School and Little City Foundation participated in the Sunday event, which included men and women ages 14 to 58.
