Palatine Library's December Offerings

The Palatine Public Library offers a variety of programs in December.

The , 700 N. North Court, has a variety of progams in December:

Computer Program – Open Lab Thursday, December 1, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.  Palatine Library staff will be available for drop-in question and answer sessions regarding technology, library resources, research and more. This lab is designed to provide one-on-one assistance at a personalized level not always available during scheduled class time. Adult Program - Social Scrabble Thursday, December 1, 1:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.  Join us at the Palatine Library for a game of Scrabble on the first Thursday afternoon of each month! Adult Book Discussion – Friday, December 2, 9:30 – 11 a.m.  Come join us at the Palatine Library for a discussion of Unfinished Business, by Lee Kravitz, a man ties up loose ends to prepare for his next steps in life. Teen Program – Stories In A Flash! Monday, December 5, 7 – 8 p.m.  Flash fiction: the art of writing the short story short. Teen Program – Duct Tape Wallets Saturday, December 10, 3 – 4 p.m.  Make your own one-of-a-kind duct tape wallet at the Palatine Library. Choose from a variety of patterns and colors, plus bring your own photos or magazine cut-outs to personalize your design. For grades 7-12. Adult Program – Lyric Opera Magic Flute Tuesday, December 13, 7 – 8 p.m.  William Nelson of the Lyric Opera of Chicago comes to the Palatine Library to discuss dancing bears, dinosaurs, and enchanted forests – all part of this classic opera, The Magic Flute. Adult Program - Laughter Club Wednesday, December 14, 10 – 11 a.m.  Come to the Palatine Library for a program that combines laughter, gentle stretching exercises, and talking about good-hearted living (and chocolate!).
