Palatine American Legion to Host Dinner Concert

The Sons of the American Legion and Legion Auxiliary will sponsor a Frank Sinatra tribute and steak dinner Friday, April 29.

The Sons of the American Legion (S.A.L.) and Legion Auxiliary are sponsoring a Frank Sinatra tribute and steak dinner which is open to the public on Friday, April 29 from 6 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall 122 W. Palatine Rd. in Palatine to raise funds for Legion Family Charities.

“We’d like to invite everyone to join us for a concert and a steak,” said Judy Kyska, Auxiliary President, in a press release. “We will be serving dinner from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and then Sam Magdal will perform his Sinatra tribute from 7:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. Magdal has entertained audiences for years with a voice and style that is perfect for Frank Sinatra’s music. He has performed at the Drake Hotel, Portofinos and Cy's. I’m sure everyone will enjoy his music.”

Tickets are $17 and can be purchased at the door or in advance in the clubroom.  Dinner will include a 12 ounce steak, grilled onions, baked potato, salad, rolls, buttered corn and a dessert. A full service bar is available for drinks.

The American Legion and Legion Auxiliary began in 1919 while the S.A.L. was created in 1932 as patriotic veterans organizations devoted to mutual helpfulness, the press release states. These organizations are committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
