Memorial Day will begin with a wreath laying ceremony at Hillside Cemetery on Smith Street at 9:45 a.m.
At 10:15 a.m., a parade will begin at Cornell Avenue and Smith Street. It will end with a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at Community Park on Northwest Highway and Wood Street. The Legion, Auxiliary and Sons of the Legion color guards, the Palatine High School Marching Band and several community leaders and groups will be in the parade.
At 12:15 p.m., there will be a brief service at the Legion Memorial in Towne Square, 150 W. Palatine Rd.

Residents and guests are invited to the Legion Memorial Home at 122 W. Palatine Rd. Refreshments will be served following all the ceremonies.
