Countryside Association Holds Recycling Fundraiser Friday

Stop by Countryside in Palatine Friday, December 28 between 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. to take part in the non-profit organization's recycling fundraiser.

Collect your outdated or broken “old” technology. Bring it to Countryside Association for safe and easy disposal. Know that your donated items will help much-needed programs and services.

The recycling program offers hands-on experience to enable individuals to reach their goals of independence, employment, and full participation in their community.

Electronics and also sneakers, books, aluminum cans and crayons. We will accept... computers, hard drives, laptops and laptop batteries, disk drives, processors, modems, keyboards, cords and wires, chargers, video game systems, stereo equipment and cassette players, small appliances, telephones, cell phones, headphones, microphones, speakers, answering machines, printers, fax machines, and copy machines.

Regretfully, we cannot accept… microwaves, refrigerators, dehumidifiers & air conditioning units. We will accept…computer monitors and TVs (32” or smaller) when they are accompanied by a $10 per-item donation that can help us cover the cost of recycling the item. If you have concerns, please ask us how to safely clean your hard drives prior to donating.
