Celebrating all that is Feminine (C.A.T.I.F.) will host its 4th Annual Pay it Forward Silent Auction on Friday, February 22 to benefit the Society for the Preservation of Human Dignity and ΚΚΓ GIRLS Academy

C.A.T.I.F. believes in paying it forward. “Every one of us has been touched, encouraged, and empowered by a woman,” says Founder Kara Cermak. That woman may be your mother, grandmother, sister, friend or a complete stranger.

The organization is a group of professional women who have pooled their energy and resources to raise money to provide funding for already established organizations whose very nature is to empower women, and to thank women who have made a difference in our lives.

GIRLS Academy is a “values based” program and curriculum designed by ΚΚΓ to make a difference in the lives of young women (middle school aged). These young women participate in a day and a half retreat where they are able to discuss challenges facing them, journal about their hopes and dreams, and participate in a service project. In 2013, the GIRLS Academy will be hosted in the Northwest suburbs, at Carl Sandburg Junior High, in Rolling Meadows.

The Pay It Forward Silent Auction will feature a list of impressive sports items, entertainment and vacation packages. There will be two types of auctions, both Live and Silent Auctions, as well as great raffle prizes. Entertainment will feature young artist, Jenny Lupa. Registration is available online at www.catifycharity.com and runs thru February 21, 2013 for $50 per guest. Tickets at the door will be $60. Tickets include appetizers, happy hour cocktails, and entertainment.

New this year, an online auction began February 12th. Participants will have 10 days to bid on the item(s) before the Live Event at Lamplighters Inn.

The online auction link is www.32auctions.com/catifcharity.

The event will be held at Lamplighter Inn, Tavern & Grille, 60 N. Bothwell Street, Palatine, IL 60067 from 5:30pm to 9:30pm on Friday, February 22.
