Wednesday, July 9, 10:00 a.m. – Noon. Take a ride on Route 55+ with Harper College Lifelong Learning Institute and Palatine Library, partnering for this program. George Banas talks about his book Terrorists and the Terchova Treasure: In My Brother’s Place, at the Palatine Library. He will share about his real-life adventures in Morocco, as he worked to secure the safety of his family while he was trapped with his wife between Tangier and Madrid on September 11, 2001. Thursday, July 10, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m., and 1:00 – 1:45 p.m.  Come see Professor Marvel and his fabulous fleas perform at the Palatine Library. See Hercules, the world’s strongest flea, Madame Sophie on the high wire, and Victor, who gets shot out of a cannon at 90 mph! You’ll have a chance to win a do-it-yourself-flea-circus kit.
