FREE Recycling Event Sponsored by Palatine Lions Club & Palatine Township
Palatine Township and the Palatine Lions Club will be holding a FREE (except Microwaves), NO LIMIT Electronics Recycling Event for individuals and businesses on Saturday May 10, 2014 from 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM at the Palatine Township Offices Parking Lot located at 721 S Quentin Road, Palatine. Due to a new law that took effect on January 1, 2012 many electronic items are no longer accepted for general disposal in landfills.
A partial list of items being accepted are batteries (residential quantities only), computers, laptops, computer components including mice, power cords & cables, hard drives, printers, CD, DVD & VCR players, small kitchen appliances, scanners, TVs (less than 27") & remotes and many more items. All computer hard drives will be wiped clean in the recycling process.
Microwaves will be accepted at this event for a FEE of $25 each.

The Lions Club will also be accepting used cellular phones, inkjet cartridges, keys, eyeglasses and hearing aids.
Items NOT being accepted at this event include large kitchen appliances (White goods), light bulbs, paint and other hazardous materials (including construction debris).
