Palatine Public Library District Board Announces Four Open Seats for April 2013 Election

At the regular monthly meeting of September 12, 2012, Board President Jill Jensen announced there will be four openings on the Board of Library Trustees for the April 2013 election.

At the regular monthly meeting of September 12, 2012, Board President Jill Jensen announced there will be four openings on the Board of Library Trustees for the April 2013 election. Each of these seats is a four-year term covering May 2013 through May 2017.

September 25, 2012 is the first day for Library Board candidates to circulate petitions for the April election. Information for candidates may be found on the Cook County Clerk’s website (www.cookcountyclerk.com) and on the Illinois State Board of Elections website (www.elections.il.gov). The filing period for nomination papers, which can be found on the noted websites, is set by the Cook County Clerk.

Interested persons will also find paper copies of the information (available for photocopying) in the Administrative Office located at the Main Library, 700 N. North Ct. during weekday business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Candidates must reside in the Library District’s service area and fulfill all other requirements as noted in the information for candidates.

The consolidated election will take place on Tuesday, April 9, 2013.
