Book Nook is Popular at the Palatine Library

If you haven't taken a look at the new "Book Nook" you could be missing out on a good deal.

If you haven’t taken a look at the new “Book Nook” you could be missing out on a good deal. The Palatine Public Library District installed the Book Nook area in the meeting room hallway of the Main Library entrance in October of 2012. These shelves feature used books, DVDs, and CDs that are being discarded from our collection and items that are donated from the Friends of the Library. Visitors often stop to browse and enjoy the opportunity to support the Palatine Library and repurpose used materials.

From August 2012 to date, the Library has collected $2400 and from this ongoing bargain area. These funds are being used to support Library operations.

Be sure to visit the Book Nook and take home any number of items when you make a cash donation. Suggested donation amounts are displayed for each type of material and a cash box is located in the Book Nook area. Thanks for helping the Library with this green initiative which repurposes materials and supplies the Library with some donated funds.
