World-Renowned Magical Strings of Youth to Perform at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine
For the past 40 years, the Magical Strings of Youth has traveled the world to international acclaim impressing audiences with their musical talents. The Magical Strings of Youth will perform at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palatine on Sunday, November 4th, at 3 p.m., as part of the church’s monthly Music to Move Our Next Generation benefit concert series.
The young violinists, ranging in age from 4 to 17, make a lasting impression.
“Violins soar by nature if played properly,” said Betty Haag-Kuhnke, founder and director of the Betty Haag Academy in Buffalo Grove, where the students study music. “The energy that youth provide seems to double the size of any symphony orchestra.”
Magical Strings of Youth has performed in nearly 20 countries and across the U.S., including performances at the Vatican, White House and Carnegie Hall, and with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
A reception will follow the concert, providing guests with an opportunity to meet the performers. The Music to Move Our Next Generation concerts are free and open to the public. All proceeds from a free-will offering will be used for the restoration and renewal of the church’s impressive 1,800-pipe Wicks organ.
Immanuel Lutheran Church & School is located at 200 North Plum Grove Road (at Wood Street) in downtown Palatine, just two blocks east of the Palatine Metra Train Station.
