Is it normal to have so much police presence (at least eight cars, including some of the unmarked ones and a canine unit) in the parking lot before a fourth grade music concert? I'm not complaining, but I am curious as to what (or who) made such a presence necessary.

Susan, No it's not normal to have such a police presence. All it takes is to ask them as I did. They were looking for a missing child.
