More About Walter R. Sundling Junior High School
Walter R. Sundling Junior High School serves about 680 seventh and eighth grade students. The building first opened in May 1973 and was originally named Palatine Junior High School. It was renamed in 1977 in honor of school board member Walter Sundling.
The school is located across from the Palatine Park District's Tom T. Hamilton Reservoir. The school also is the primary meeting place for the Community Consolidated School District 15 school board.
