Looking for a new indoor activity during the cold winter months? The Cutting Hall Film Series offers family friendly film options in Palatine. Films will be shown at 10:30am on the big screen at historic Cutting Hall Performing Arts Center, 150 E. Wood Street, Palatine. The Adventures of Tintin (2011)

In this 2011 film, intrepid reporter Tintin and Captain Haddock set off on a treasure hunt for a sunken ship commanded by Haddock’s ancestor. From producer Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) and legendary director Stephen Spielberg.

Cutting Hall is a 430-seat auditorium owned by the Palatine Park District that is used for professional theater performances. It is also used by community groups and for various park district programs, such as the Palatine Children's Chorus and the Palatine Concert Band. The park district has owned Cutting Hall since 1977.
