This annual event is a recreation of the village where Jesus was born, with foods, a live nativity (11 am, 12:30 and 2 pm) and traditional crafts of the time – including basket weaving, candle making, bread baking and more. Admission is free. Bags of "Roman" coins can be purchased for use at the craft booths.

More About First United Methodist Church of Palatine
First United Methodist Church was founded in 1895 near Palatine's downtown. The church's congregation numbers about 400. The church's Sonrise School offers early childhood and preschool education. First Methodist has Sunday school for children through sixth grade.
For adults, the church has a variety of services including premarital mentoring and "Marriage 101" seminars.
First United Methodist's minister is Rev. Michael Morris.
