ArtReach Educational Theatre and Spotlite Theatrix are holding auditions for their upcoming production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM by William Shakespeare.
Wednesday, December 19th between 6 and 9pm at Bethel Lutheran Church, located at 3839 W. Frontage Road in Palatine.
Seeking adult actors and advanced level teenagers for principal roles. This production will be rehearsed and performed as part of our Winter Theatre Workshop where adult volunteer actors will serve as performance mentors to the children and teens enrolled in our Winter Theatre Project. Also, seeking child and teenage performers and student actors interested in being a part of the workshop process. There are talent and financial need based scholarships available. If you would like to be considered for a principal role please prepare a monologue for the character you are interested in. You will also be asked to do a cold reading.
Rehearsals will take place at Bethel Lutheran Church in Palatine on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6-9 (not everyone will be called the entire evening but, is asked to keep these time frames open) beginning January 2nd. More About Bethel Lutheran Church
Bethel Lutheran Church has been a fixture in the northwest suburbs for 53 years. The worship style here is fairly traditional but somewhat informal. The sacrament of communion is offered at every service. Music is played on an organ or piano, and on special occasions, by a small brass and string ensemble. Bethel Lutheran Church uses the new Evangelical Lutheran Worship book, which offers a variety of liturgies and hymns.
