Tony Sansone Recognized Before PBA Championship Game

On July 26, prior to the start of the Palatine Baseball Association’s Colt and Palomino Champsionship Games, Tony Sansone was recognized for his contributions to PBA. Tony passed away earlier this spring at the age of 59. He was the current president of PBA, holding that position since 2009. Tony was a board member of PBA for 14 years, holding a variety of positions including Vice President, Vice President of Pony and Palomino Divisions, player agent, coach, umpire, and chair of the bylaws and concessions committees.

Joel Krandel and Gary Gray of Palatine Baseball Association presented Tony’s sons, Dominick and Sam, with a token of the league’s appreciation for Tony’s dedication to both PBA and the sport of baseball. The ceremony took place at Hamilton Fields in Palatine.
