In September, we made our annual trek to our favorite place in the world thus far, Leland, Michigan. I realize that I post a lot of photos from this area, but it can't be helped.It's a photographers dream up there.

Like most,  I do appreciate a sunny day with billowy clouds against blue skies when it comes to taking pictures.

But there comes a time when the powers that be take the reins, and Mother Nature throws us a punch. As a photographer, I find that the most interesting shots come from a day when nature catches us off guard.

This photo tells of a storm soon to be upon us. 

And I always keep a large ziploc bag with me if I need to protect my camera when the rain hits.
