Have a Rockin' time in Downtown Palatine
We are going to be having a Rockin' Time in Dowtown Palatine
12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Kids Activity Area sponsored by Downtown Palatine Street Fest will include Interactive Martial Arts activities by J.P. wood Martial Arts, Safari Childcare, Positive Strokes Art School, Palatine Police Crime Prevention and the Palatine Fire Department
Live Music from:
12:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Jason Picchoitti lead singer of Twenty Over
3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Mustache Pete
3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Dunk Tank/Baggo Tournament
5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Solid Aire
7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Smoking Gunz
Food options will include a pig roast from Brothers Ribs, treats off the grill from Culver’s, pizza from Pizza Bella and sweet treats from Morkes Chocolate. Students from Immanuel Lutheran will be on hand with lemonade and the Rotary Club of Palatine will host the pop and water tent. The beer garden will feature Miller Lite, Leinenkugel Summer Shandy and Leinenkugel Red and will be open for the duration of the event.
A portion of the funds raised throughout the event will benefit the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce scholarship programs. Lead sponsors for ‘Rockin’ the Block’ are BMO Harris Bank and Weber-Stephen Products, LLC, other sponsors include Northrop Grumman, Lamplighter Inn, Journal & Topics Newspaper and Palatine Bank & Trust.

As much as i like brothers ribs, and i do, I was really disapointed with the advertised pig roast. I was expectin a real pig roast Not what was offered. I think the concept was great just very false advertising.

Thank you so much for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated. Your feedback certainly helps with planning future Rockin' the Blocks events. We are greatful that you came out to the event and sorry that you were disappointed. We did provide a pig roast that was ready by dinner time, but were serving pulled pork during the day. We will definitely keep in mind your comment when advertising for next year's event.
