Dinner & A Movie: BWC to Screen Airplane! This Wednesday at Emmett's

After a successful festival, Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival (BWiFF) is ready to kick off its 2012-2013 Blue Whiskey Cinema Series (BWC) this Wednesday, August 29th, with the 1980 classic Airplane! BWiFF was voted Palatine Patch 2012 Reader’s Choice for Best Festival, and the fest hopes to keep the fun going year round with the series. The last Wednesday of each month BWC will screen a riveting and creative film, bringing classic and independent films to Palatine. The screenings will take place at Emmett's Ale House (110 North Brockway Street, Palatine), in the Brewmaster's Dining Room. Attendees are invited to enjoy the films, order meals, appetizers, and drinks; bringing a new meaning to dinner and a movie.

Ted Striker just got dumped by his long-time girlfriend Elanie Dickinson, who works as a stewardess at Trans American Airlines.  In his wish to get her back, he follows her aboard the plane, although he has had a deep aversion against anything winged since he lost several men in the war.  During the flight, the crew and many passengers become seriously ill and it is up to him to land the plane safely in Chicago.

The Blue Whiskey Cinema Series will begin at 7:00pm. Tickets are $5 in advance, and $7 at the door. Meals, appetizers and drinks will be available for purchase during the screening. For more information and to purchase tickets visit bluewhiskeycinema.com.
