Good list, but Norma's should have been #1.

I think Pita Pita should be on there

I'm iffy on some of these places but I certainly agree with Feast of Eden being #1! Fantastic down home, homemade food! And the owners, Barry and Chef Lisa couldn't be more gratious! I just hope not too many people read this or my favorite restaurant will become too big!

4 out the 10 are not even restaurants. I thought a restaurant is where you sit down and eat.

I do not understand why Mexico Uno continues to be on these top lists. Their food sucks. Bland, bland, bland with a top of tastless and flavorless. Please people, learn your Mexican food!! And for these pizza joints,,, nasty, nasty, nasty... JJ Twigs, hands down, takes the cookie on these guys!

Also agree re. Mexico Uno. I know that some people think that it's great, but it's the blandest Mexican food I've ever tasted. The portions are small and the drippy salsa served at each table is almost without any taste at all. It needs a Restaurant Impossible overhaul!

You need to expand you menu selections. The serve some of the best goat dishes in the NW suburbs. In addition, they have a salsa that you have to ask for that is the best salsa I have had since I lived in Denver.
My wife and I find their portions just right and she usually gets a doggie bag to go home with.

Norma's is the best coffee shop in the region.

Nicely highlights what a horrible destination Palatine is for dining.

This list is kind of funny. I would not have Norma's on there. It is a coffee shop and although they serve some stuff, it is not a true restaurant. I would also check the health inspection scores on a couple of the places too. Things are questionable. I am surprised not to see JJTwigs and Bauers and Emmetts. Love Emmetts and their beer.

Seriously, I am not going to go into the Harris Bank building as destination for a lunch or dinner date. I think the "restaurant" category on Yelp needs to be revised.

I agree, to find East of Eden you need a treasure map, its mediocre fare anyway.

Coming from a traditional Mexican heritage, Mexico Uno is a very quaint atmosphere serving some of the most authentic and delicious food. Even my friends and family from Mexico agree. Keep in mind that cuisine from any culture will vary by region (salsas, etc.). No offense, but with the exception of their Margaritas, El Toreo, is subpar. I would sooner have Taco Bell.

Angel's on Smith and Dundee is very authentic and not expensive...best Mexican food in the area in my opinion. Not a big fan of Mexico Uno or El Toreo.

Sushi ashi should be at top of list. Gianni's is another and do not leave out Artistic Cuisine and the old stand by Heng Wengs and last but not least Agio. Most of the
ones on original list are not really restaurants.
