Walsh: Child Support Allegations "Untrue"
Congressman Joe Walsh filed a response to his ex-wife's claim that he owes about $117,000 in child support payments.
Republican Congressman Joe Walsh filed a response to his ex-wife's allegations that he owes about $117,000 in child support payments.
Walsh stated in a press release that he "did in fact pay his share of the education costs for all of his children to attend Catholic school; despite the claim that Laura Walsh claims she incurred all of the costs."
Walsh asserts that during a five-year period he and his wife agreed to increases and decreases in child support and that from 2007 on the children lived with him half of the time.
"In fact for almost a full year while Laura Walsh was making $140,000 a year and living in another state, Mr. Walsh provided full time residential custodial care for his youngest son, despite making significantly less money than Laura Walsh," Walsh states.
Walsh represents the 8th Congressional District which currently includes most of Palatine.
Last month the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Cook County Circuit Judge Raul Vega ordered Walsh to prove that he was not more than $100,000 behind on child support payments.
The Sun-Times noted that Laura Walsh had been to court numerous times since 2002 over the issue.

Only in the parallel universe that most members of the RepubliKlan party live in could a court-ordered garnishment of wages be considered a "payment."
Do you residents of Lake County realize how FOOLISH you look, being represented by this uneducated, venal fraud - and the bloated husband-beater Suzi "Two Fists" Schmidt ?
Do you honestly think it's just a coincidence that both of them are RepubliTards ??

Regardless of political or group affiliation, his statements now aren't consistent with what he himself has said before. Any adult should know that when you have a court order to pay child support, you need to have it modified if you come to some other arrangement between the parties, otherwise you are still liable to comply with the court order as filed. I don't believe a word of what he's claiming now as it's just the latest excuse he's given for years of failing to be responsible for his own children. That is an issue for the courts and his family but for him to claim that this doesn't reflect at all on him as a "lawmaker" and representative of our district, is infantile at best. He talks about fiscal responsibility and making the right choices all the time but he hasn't demonstrated any capability to do the same.

He's just an average member of the RepubliKlan party - incapable of telling the truth about the simplest matter for which his outright lying can be proven.
