Schaumburg Man Charged in Death of Palatine Teen
Timothy R. Hughes, 27, appeared in bond court Thursday morning for aggravated DUI.
A Schaumburg man has been charged by South Barrington police in the death of a 19-year-old Palatine man that occurred in South Barrington in April.
Timothy R. Hughes, 27, of the 400 block of Woodcroft Court, was charged with aggravated DUI and appeared at a bond hearing at Cook County court in Rolling Meadows May 14, said Dept. Ray Cordell.
William Cole Deacon was standing in Barrington Road near Willow Creek Community Church when he was hit by Hughes' Toyota Corolla on April 28, according to an article in the Daily Herald. He died on May 7. He was a 2011 graduate of Palatine High School and was attending the Illinois Institute of Art at Schaumburg majoring in graphic design.
