Robert C. Cramm, 84, of Crystal Lake, Former Palatine Bakery Owner

Cramm was the former owner and baker at the Palatine Bakery. Services will be private.

 

Robert C. Cramm, 84, of Crystal Lake, passed away surrounded by his loving family Feb. 11, 2013. He was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Chicago.

Robert was the owner and skilled baker of the former Palatine Bakery for many years until he became the owner of the Silver Hamper Laundromat as well as the Virginia Center. The Palatine Bakery was formerly located where Nelsen Group is today, and went out of business in the 1970's. 

He was a member of the United States Army drafted into the Korean War.
Robert enjoyed fishing in Lake Michigan, golfing, bowling, and was very dedicated to his family. 

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Helene Cramm (nee Bauer); children, Jeffrey (Joan), Leonard (Andrea), Robert (Kay), and William (Kelly); 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Renee, Rebecca, and Christine.

Services for Robert will be private.

Robert made many a Christmas very special for me, my sister, and my brothers. He will be fondly remembered for a very long time.
