Why wouldn't the Dominick's on Dundee in Palatine be included in this survey? Same with the Jewel on Dundee and the one on Plum Grove? And Whole Foods on Rand? Seems strange to survey about grocery stores in Palatine and then not include two of the largest. But my vote's for Mariano's anyway!!!

When will the Dominick's on Dundee be demolished? It's got to be a matter of months now? It's disgusting and empty!

With enough grocery stores in palatine why not make it a sole palatine survey?

I was at the Jewel yesterday, and if they don't step up their service, I will not be going there for much longer. They have only two lines open -- no line for only a few items. I absolutely REFUSE to do the self checkout unless they charge me less for that. WAKE UP, JEWEL ON DUNDEE!!

In my opinion, no doubt.... MARIANO'S hands down. Both Dominick's in Palatine are horrible. And while I love my in town Jewel for small shopping trips, Mariano's has way more choices and better prices.

The Jewel on Plum Grove is nothing more than a glorified 7-11; although I like the employees (not mgt.) The last time I was at Dominicks on Euclid, there were so many fruit flies I wouldn't buy any "fresh" fruit or vegetables from them ever. I also don't understand why Jewel puts up a cork board, but will take down anything that is not a thank you letter to them. If folks are not to put up their community events, then put a lock on it.

Mariano's is also as good or better than WalMart when it comes to prices. Great store, great employees, and great management !!

I vote for Trader Joes in Arlington Heights, IL. They are courteous, and the store has real people to check your purchases out. Good prices for organic produce. Everyday a new item to taste with free coffee samples too. It is a throwback to the goodolddays of service. I like that a lot.
