Pirates Beat Grenadiers 42-21
The Palatine Pirates nail it down in the second half for a victory over the Elk Grove Grenadiers, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The Palatine Pirates (2-1) took an early lead, scoring two touchdowns in the first three minutes of the game Friday night. Then early in the second quarter the Elk Grove Grenadiers (2-1) pushed back to tie the game at 14-14.
Losing its early 14-0 lead sparked a fire under Palatine, the Chicago Tribune reports. At home, Palatine reclaimed the lead at the half 27-14 and the No. 12 Pirates nailed down a victory in the second half of the game, beating the Grenadiers 42-21, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Palatine senior quarterback Ethan Olles was the player of the game, acorrding to the Chicago Tribune, Olles, 19-of-29, 333 yards, 3 TDs, 2 INTs.
