Palatine Police Investigate Attempted Vehicle Robbery
The incident occurred in the 100 block of South Stonington Drive June 18.
Palatine police are warning of an attempted robbery that took place Monday night in the 100 block of South Stonington Drive.
Police responded to a call at around 10:10 p.m. According to the 26-year-old female victim, she had just parked her vehicle in her driveway when a male subject approached her from behind, and grabbed her arm in an attempt to take her car keys. After refusing to give up her car keys, the offender pushed the victim to the ground and ran in a southwest direction. Officers and police K-9’s searched the area with no results. The offender is described as a thin male, 20-30 years of age, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark shorts.
