July 17, 2012
Tricia L. Horsman, 24, of Rockford, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft after taking $100.06 in merchandise from Wal-Mart, 1555 N. Rand Road, and leaving the store without paying.
July 19, 2012
Penny T. Burg, 48, of Cary, was charged with DUI, DUI BAC over .08 and driving without insurance after police responded to a call of an accident at Roselle and Algonquin roads at 6:02 p.m.
Eliseo Ramirez, 34, of Palatine was charged with felony aggravated DUI, improper lane usage and no valid driver’s license after a traffic stop at Gardenia Lane and North Baldwin Lane at 2 a.m.

A double-pane window was smashed on a home in the 1100 block of East Cunningham Drive sometime between 1:50 a.m. and 2:05 a.m. The homeowner discovered a rock the size of a softball on the floor.

A 2012 Honda Odyssey was burglarized sometime between noon and 12:30 p.m. while parked at Birchwood Park, 435 W. Illinois Ave. Taken was a black leather wallet, $100 and miscellaneous credit cards. The car was left unlocked.
