Ryan Kreis staked his claim as the best player in the Midwest Conference by claiming a league title at No. 1 singles.
The Lake Forest College Athletics Department announced their end-of-season awards on Monday. Sophomore Ryan Kreis, a graduate of William H. Fremd High School, repeated as the men's tennis team's Most Valuable Player.
Kreis staked his claim as the best player in the Midwest Conference by claiming a league title at No. 1 singles. He and sophomore Anthony Warren were also semifinalists at the conference tournament at No. 1 doubles. He finished the spring with a singles record of 15-2, which a pair of victories over nationally-ranked opponents. Kreis was ranked as high as No. 11 in the Central Region during the season.
