Palatine Girl Gymnastics Club Takes 1st Place at Meme Memorial Meet
The Palatine Park District girls gymnastics club level 5 brought home the top honor at the meet held in Round Lake in early January.
The Palatine Park District Gymnastics Club Level 5 girls team recently won first place all-around in the Meme Memorial Meet in Round Lake.
The meet, held on January 6, was sponsored by All American Gymnastics.
In addition to the team taking the top spot, a number of girls placed either first or second place all-around in their individual age brackets.
The team consisted of Kelsey Bauer, Mia Cocanig, Alyssa Eckels, Serena Escalona, Brooke Harrison, Colleen Kochanski, Kaitlyn Reed, Nikki Ruby, Gabi Schelfhout, Molly Schreiner, Joanna Topa and Makayla Tsagalis.
The girls who competed at the meet range from 3rd to 8th graders, all Palatine residents.
