Palatine residents who are unhappy with the asinine decision to vote down the upscale tattoo place next door to the Harley dealer -- do NOT vote for Solberg! He was one of the most vocal against it and besides he has no concept of how to help Palatine to become a better place. Please people, if you want someone who deserves that seat, do NOT vote Solberg!
And as for Swantz, he has been here long enough. Time for some fresh perspective from someone new who is committed to ensuring the success of our town. This is our chance to make a huge statement to these guys that we don't appreciate their bad decisions and it's time for them to hang it up and go home.

Swantz??? it is Schwantz, I believe..... and you say he has been here long enough? How long is that...one term???? How much "fresher" would someone else be???? Educate me...what has Schwantz done that is anti-success of Palatine????

Really... people SHOULD choose who to vote for based on whether the candidate is anti-tattoo or not. Wahhh on not getting a tattoo parlor that would make Palatine a better place. And the same people who think Schwantz (first term mayor) has been here "long enough" are probably the same ones who voted Rita Mullins in for 85 straight terms!

The older generation relates tattoos to bikers ,drugs, trailer trash and violence, The younger generation considers tattoos body art and art is freedom of expression which is a protected right of the constitution. Palatine is like an old horse with blinders on and can't see the art .

Jim Schwantz was an awesome change from Mullins who we had for waaaay too long. Wish I could "like" CVH's comment. I'd totally vote Schwantz in again. Kelly - you are angry in just about every comment that you make!
