Man Held on $10 Million Bond in Stabbing Death of Wife
Heriberto Ramirez of unincorporated Des Plaines is accused of killing his wife in front of their 9-year-old daughter. He was ordered held on bond Wednesday, CBS Chicago reports.
Heriberto Ramirez, 50, of unincorporated Des Plaines, is being held on $10 million bond after being charged with first degree murder in the killing of his wife on Valentine’s Day, 2011, CBS Chicago reports.
Ramirez is accused of stabbing his wife more than 30 times. The couple's 9-year-old daughter reportedly was present at the time of the stabbing, and called 9-1-1, telling them her father was hitting her mother.
Ramirez was arrested by Cook County Sheriff’s Police on February 14, 2011.
When police arrived they found Alicia Ramirez, 45 years old, in the bathroom with extensive injuries, the Daily Herald reported.
