Why Go? Celebrate the start of harvest season! See all things country including antique tractors, farm animals, meet our friends from Flint Creek Wildlife Preserve, plus meet our local vendors partners who will be on site.

Where / When: Palatine Metra Train Station, 542 Colfax St., Palatine; 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.; Saturday, August 20.
Why Go?: Visit the 27 vendors who will be selling their farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, organic meats and eggs, cheeses, spices, olives, pickles and much more.

4. Special Community Family Night at the Buehler YMCA
Where / When: Buehler Y, 1400 W. Northwest Hwy.; 6:30 - 8 p.m., Friday, August 19.
Why Go?: The Y is open to everyone in the community. Parents and children can play games together, make crafts and discover new adventures. The Y is open for all ages. Parents must stay with their children at all times and pre-registration is required to ensure adequate staff and supplies.

5. Mike and Joe
Where / When: Durty Nellie's; doors open at 9:15 p.m., show begins at 10:30 p.m.; Friday, August 19.

6. Chillin' in Palatine Fun and Movie Night
Where / When: Harris Bank, 50 N. Brockway St., Palatine; 6 p.m., Sunday, August 21.
Why Go?: The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce is hoping to bring everyone in the community out to this fun evening of events. Family activities, including children's art projects, and baggo will begin at 6 p.m. and then a movie, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, will start at 8:30 p.m. outside on the east side of the Harris Bank building. Please bring your own chairs. The Lamplighter Inn Tavern & Grille will have beer and pizza available for purchase.
