How To Earn Tickets to the Obama Election Night Party

Entry will be limited to people willing to volunteer for the presidential campaign.

Hoping to grab a ticket for the Obama election night party downtown?

You're going to have to work for it.

Attendance will be much more limited than the 2008 Grant Park gathering, where tens of thousands of then-presidential candidate Barack Obama supporters filled Chicago's downtown streets

About 10,000 people will be allowed into the Lakeside McCormick Place convention center Nov. 6, the Sun-Times reports.

Only campaign volunteers willing to offer up their time toward the effort to get the president reelected will be given entry, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Patch will be liveblogging and reporting all national, state and local election results. Check out all Park Ridge Patch's political coverage.

Are you headed to McCormick Place on election night? Please let us know by emailing Associate Regional Editor Brian Slupski at brian.slupski@patch.com.
