The data is from the Illinois State Board of Education for the 2010-11 school year. We are aware that some districts are not included in the database. Here is the ISBE explanation: "Due to technical, or other reasons locally, some districts did not submit data each school year as required starting in 2010. Only data submitted via IWAS by the mandated deadline are included in this posting."

Why aren't you reporting all government employee salary's including firefighters, police, and village administrators. It would seem that YOU should do a complete job of Reporting ALL government Employees. If YOU can't do the whole job then don't bother doing the job 1/3 the way!

Stop this trash! Our educators don't make enough for what they do for us. This Tea Party attitude is destroying our nation. You get what you pay for and we need excellent education for our children

Jocomson - Our school district does overpay the public school teachers and administraters - case in point look at the education the private schools are giving, and look at what their staff is making. When your paying administrators 175k to 200k a year, that is uncalled for. Teachers do not need to command a salary of 100K+ a year. Decent salaries yes, over the top, no.

Jocomson-- Well stated! I'm amazed at the remarks of some posters! It's been my expeience that most people that make remarks similar to Edmunds would never have an intertest in any of these jobs that are centered on serving their community.
