How Did Your Neighborhood Vote in the Presidential Election?
Patch put together a searchable database that breaks down votes from the presidential election by precinct and by township in suburban Cook County.
The Cook County Clerk's Office has tallied the votes in the Nov. 6 presidential election by township and precinct in suburban Cook County.
Patch used that data to put together a searchable database so you can see how many of your neighbors voted for Barack Obama versus Mitt Romney, or for third party candidates.
According to the clerk's office, there were a total of 1,416,811 registered voters in Suburban Cook County as of Nov. 6. Of those, 1,000,800 cast ballots for president. Barack Obama won 634,935 of those votes, and Mitt Romney took 347,007.
Use the pull-down menu to find your township or precinct. If you're not sure what precinct you live in, go to this page and type in your address.

What are you trying to do? Polarize the community. There is already enough polarization that exists between what was once North Evanston and South Evanston. And now you want to stigmatize the neighborhoods by where some one lives. A publication of Northwestern once wrote an article for its prospective students and told them don't live south of Main Street or west of Chicago Ave. They got villified for this and so should this article.

If you look at the totals for Evanston you will see that Obama/Biden got 84.87% of the votes and the details do not indicate a large difference between different parts of Evanston. I do not see how linking to public information about vote totals is stigmatizing.

Publishing public information does not polarize the community. There is power in knowing the truth about where you live and the people that you live around.

How does the county have the right to publish my birth year and middle initial to anyone who has my name and address?
What other information are they making public? No wonder there is so much problems with identity theft. Do we not have any privacy left?
I really consider my vote and the votes of my neighbors private. Especially when you live in a small community.

Often interesting to look at how voting changes as you move between election races i.e. Pres, Congress, State Rep, etc... Gives you a feel for the ebb and flow of how people vote depending on the office or candidate.
