Hometown Fest 2012 Schedule of Events—Tuesday, July 3
The festival is held at Community Park on Palatine Road and Northwest Highway in Palatine.
The Palatine Jaycees are once again sponsoring the 55th annual Fourth of July Hometown Fest celebration from June 29 through July 4 at the Community Park on Palatine Road and Northwest Highway.
The most anticipated event during the celebration is the fireworks display. The fireworks show will be held on Tuesday evening, July 3 at approximately 9:30 p.m. at dusk. This year’s show will, according to Co-Chair Jackie Butler, "incorporate all of last year’s crowd favorite pyrotechnics as well as some that the committee feels the community will appreciate."

Are the fireworks still scheduled for tomorrow night? I've heard some other villages in the area have cancelled theirs due to the extreme dry conditions.
