Why Go?: Dance all night to your favorite music played by a DJ. (Must be 21 years old or older.)

3. 34th Annual National Art Exhibition: Small Works

Where / When: Harper College, 1200 W. Algonquin Rd., Palatine; 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Friday, April 1.

Why Go?: Juried exhibition of work selected from across the country, sponsored by Harper College's Educational Foundation. Media ranges from photography to painting and sculpture.

4. How to Grow a Great Lawn

Where / When: Knupper Nursery & Landscape, 1801 N. Rand Rd., Palatine; 9 - 10 a.m., Saturday, April 2.

Why Go?: Learn how easy it is to grow a great lawn from the owner of Knupper Nursery, John Heaton. He will share his years of experience in lawn care to help you get a lush, green lawn.

5.  The Festival Chorus Presents A Grand Ole Auction Annual Dinner and Auction

 Where / When: The Seville, 700 S. Barrington Rd., Streamwood; 5:30 p.m., Sunday, April 3.

Why Go?: Tempting appetizers, delicious four-course dinner, cash bar, more than 100 items up for bidding in silent and live auctions, live entertainment by West Suburban Symphony. Proceeds benefit the Festival Chorus, a non-profit organization and  Harper College Continuing Education Community Outreach Partner.

Pricing: $40 per person

 

6. Celebrate Opening Day at Meijer with Former Cub Bill Madlock

Where / When: Meijer, 1301 Meijer Dr., Rolling Meadows; 11a.m. - 2 p.m.; Saturday, April 2.

Why Go?: Baseball-themed food and giveaways, meet Bill Madlock and get his autograph, live broadcast of WDRV's The Drive.

7. Jesus Christ Superstar

Where / When: Cutting Hall, 150 E. Wood St., Palatine; 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2; 3 p.m., Sunday, April 3.

Why Go?: See one of the most popular and enduring masterpieces created for the musical theatre. Experience the unique and exquisite production, Theatre Nebula and Music On Stage theatre companies' first collaboration, that tells the story of the final seven days in the life of Jesus of Nazareth.

Pricing: $20 for adults, $17 for seniors, $18 for children if purchased in advance; $22 for adults, $19 for seniors, $20 for children if purchased at the door
