“Spreading Sunshine, Joy and Hope” one toy at a time, Rosie Colicci hosts a toy drive at Hot Dog Richie’s at 220 N. Northwest Highway (at Colfax) in Palatine, Saturday, Sept. 22 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
8-year-old Rosie Colicci, of Palatine, is living with in an inoperable brain tumor. Rosie has Neurofibromatosis, and has received almost 150 doses of chemotherapy since she was just a toddler.
Despite her battle, Rosie’s goal is to bring a small amount of warmth and comfort to children [like herself] who spend considerable amounts of time at the Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago receiving medical treatment.
She achieves this through Rosie’s Toy Box only NEW items for these special, often immune compromised kids, including books for all ages birth to 21, small craft kits, toys and popular board games. Teen items are especially needed.
So open up your heart- bring by a new toy, come out to meet Rosie and grab a bite to eat Saturday, Sept. 22 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Hot Dog Richie’s will be making a generous donation to assist Rosie's fundraising efforts for pediatric cancer research.
