The Fremd High School gymnastics team took third place overall with a score of 146.050 at the IHSA State Gymnastics Meet held at Palatine High School.
First place was clinched by Lyons High School in LaGrange, who scored 149.625, and Prairie Ridge in Crystal Lake took second place with a score of 149.300.
The competition, held Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16 at Palatine High School, included vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.
The overall individual winner of the state meet was Lauren Freely from Carmel High School in Mundelein.
