Heavy snow is expected to blanket the Palatine area as the day continues. 

A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 9 p.m. and between two to four inches of snow is expected.

• District 15 has cancelled "all after-school activities utilizing late activity buses," according to the district's website. 
  
  
• Quest Academy in Palatine has cancelled its state of school and move up night for tonight.
